Mevagissey – beautiful fishing and harbour town 7 miles south of St Austell (Eden Project). Close by are the famous Lost Gardens of Heligan, the biggest garden restoration project ever undertaken in Europe. Location for  Time of Perception”.

Fowey –  historic seafearing town and home to writer Daphne du Maurier. To Fowey (pronounce Foy) the filmcrew came for  Carousel”.

Polperro – one of the most beautiful fishing villages with a long history in smuggling. The painter Oscar Kokoschka lived here when exiled, The pretty town of Polperro hosted some of the filming for “Carousel”.

Looe –  Holiday resort and fishing village at the river Looe. Lovely old town and home to the Royal Shark Fishing Club. Again  Carousel” was filmed here. The beauty of the place contributed also to “Paradise of Dreams”. The team filmed at  Bay View Apartments, because of the bay view. The patio was turned into the Bistro.

Mount Edgcumbe – House from Tudor days (reconstructed) with turrets in gorgeous park.When the actors Gabi Dohm and Friedrich von Thun drink tea on the grass in front of a stately mansion in “Miss Cameron” this is Mount Edgcumbe. Although the novel places the house in Scotland, you cannot tell.  It also features in “Paradise of Dreams”.
